05 December 2024
  • News

Eindhoven might not be your traditional Christmas destination, but with the campaign ‘Wrap up the Year’, Bureau Binnenstad Eindhoven and city marketing organization Eindhoven365 show residents and visitors how to end the year in a festive manner—Eindhoven-style. Throughout the entire festive month of December, the city is bursting with events and activities. The city center is decked out with vibrant new vibes-themed lighting, and local entrepreneurs are ready to turn the final weeks of 2024 into a celebration.

Festive program

December is packed with holiday-themed activities. A Christmas choir will fill the city with song, and every Sunday, live music awaits at the open podium café M. The Piazza shopping center is creating Instagram-worthy moments, including a large Christmas tree. Later in the month, you might spot the Christmas train and even Santa Claus with his elf. Nieuwe Emmasingel will host cheerful street theater performances—you might even encounter the whimsical Springdieren (Jumping Animals). At Heuvel shopping center, there's a gift-wrapping service, and Christmas workshops are being organized for children.

Lights and decorations

Thanks to the new ligths throughout the city center, featuring Eindhoven's vibes branding and the visual identity of the campaign, the entire city exudes the holiday spirit. You’ll find this festive design reflected on landmarks like Lichttoren, Vestdijk, Dynamo, and throughout the rest of the city center. At 18 Septemberplein, the Candles Lights by Studio Toer are back for the season. These glowing candles react to movement, so step closer and become part of this light art piece. This year, the lighting will stay up longer, ensuring the city retains its warm ambiance into January.

Partners

This campaign was made possible through a collaboration between Bureau Binnenstad, Eindhoven365, Stichting Binnenstad Eindhoven (SBE), Bedrijven Investeringszone Eindhoven Centrum (BIZ), and the creative agency HeyHeydeHaas.
